Team Mom News…
Welcome to the Team Mom news site. Here we’ll be giving you answers to questions frequently asked, give you updates on upcoming events and deadlines, and you can also email me at any time.
For Spring Ball, our first games are Tuesday, February 23th!
How exciting it will be to see the girls in their uniforms and get on the field and play some ball!
Frequently asked questions:
*Do we need banners???
Yes- Banners are a great, fun way, to represent your girls and team. Banners will be displayed at each game in the dugout for the
softball world to see. Have fun and be creative........
*Do we have fundraisers???
This year we are asking the girls to participate in our popular "BASKET RAFFLE". Baskets will be raffeled off opening day, March 13th.
Each team is required one sponsorship of $300.00
This goes to needed equipment, fees,
lights, fields,etc.
Ideas on how to get it done: Ask local business for a donation of any amount, or
split it up among the team (a team of 10 -each player is responsible for $30.00).
*Does TBall have to particiate in sponsorships???
YES! -
T-ball teams have the same requirements as the rest of the league for Spring Season.
Helpful reminders about game days:
1.
No Jewelry!! That also means pierced ears. No exceptions. It’s for their safety and we don’t want any scratched scalps from helmets pressing down on earring posts. That hurts!
(note to parents - let's NOT pierce ears during the season)
2.
No one but team moms and coach’s in the dugouts, with proper, visable ID.
3.
Remind the girls to go to the bathroom before the game. If they need to go during the game, ask the parent to quickly take them.
4.
Water, even on cold days, it’s important to stay hydrated.
5.
Stay warm. Yes you can wear warm clothes under your uniform.
6.
Remember to rotate snack schedules. You should not be bringing snack every game, make up a schedule.
Example of a snack – chips and juice.
7.
Clean out your dug out!!! The next team is in a hurry to get in there to set up for their game. They don’t want to clean up your mess. You don’t have much time to pick everything up, ask the girls to pick up after themselves and help out.
8.
Have fun and smile. Encourage them all. Tell them how great they’re doing. They are all learning and we want them to enjoy softball and have a great experience and come back next year.
SOFTBALL ROCKS!!!
